Sumitomo Tires

Don't buy them. Besides terrible tread life, they are a serious safety hazard. Bought a set of four 215/55-17 and two (yes two) of the sidewalls simply split within 6 months of ownership. Both occurred on the inside wall and fortunately going at slow speeds. Conditions were temps around 50 degrees, dry pavement, and driving forward (i.e., not on turns).

These tires were purchased from the TireRack. I have bought many tires from them. Some better than others, but, never a set that I felt were a hazard. After 8 months, they have been removed from the car.

Live and learn: never by no-name products that you must depend on for your own safety. The cost of the product may end up costing you more in the long run (and maybe more than just money).
